Top construction events for the second half of 2024

As we exit the first fiscal quarter of 2024 and head into the hot summer, the construction industry’s major conferences, meetings and other events continue to reclaim their in-person roots and expand their offerings to contractors, AEC professionals and key stakeholders. Take a look below to see what the road ahead looks like for the year’s biggest industry events.

May 1-3

Denver

The 9th iteration of the annual conference, attendees can expect to learn about the latest trends and innovations that will affect preconstruction and estimating.

Washington, D.C.

May 22-24

The 2023 session featured panels on new developments in the building industry, and opportunities to network with fellow industry professionals. The events brings private industry contractors together with government officials and employees.

San Diego

June 3-5

Intended for business and IT leaders in the construction industry, FutureTech has been a premiere event for construction technology professionals to stay on the cutting edge of their industry.

June 5-8

Washington, D.C.

The 2024 conference is scheduled to be held in Washington, D.C., but few details besides the date and location have been shared at time of writing.

Houston

Aug. 14-17

The conference, which has both women and men as attendees, features multiple education tracks on leadership, career building and construction trends, with a focus on technology and personal development.

 

Oct. 15-17

San Diego

This year’s Autodesk University, dubbed the “Design & Make Conference,” will boast a plethora of attendees from architecture, engineering and construction fields. Sessions in previous years explored how to better use BIM and other new technologies to improve building construction, design and engineering. 

Oct. 22-25

San Diego

LCI 2024 is a place for contractors and construction professionals to learn from each other about best practices and successes in lean construction.

Oct. 27-30

Palm Desert, California

The annual Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association convention will be in Palm Desert, with few details currently available. 

Nov. 6-8

Dallas

Focusing on infrastructure, the conference will provide networking and breakout sessions for attendees, along with exhibitors and sponsors.

Las Vegas

Nov. 11-13

The conference will feature expert-led sessions to showcase new developments, and offers networking opportunities on the expo floor. The event will also provide an opportunity to see new tools at work at an offsite showcase.

Nov. 12-15

Philadelphia

Sponsored by the U.S. Green Building Council, this show highlights leaders in sustainable construction and green building with exhibits and sessions centered on design, new technology, building systems and materials. The Expo featured nearly 250 exhibitors at 2023’s conference in Washington, D.C.

Nov. 20-21

Denver

Groundbreak is construction tech giant Procore’s annual event, which will be in the Mile High City in 2024. Tech professionals can network and learn more about cutting-edge technology in the building industry.
